New to Pilates

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
If you’re new to Pilates, this page will help you understand how to get started safely and confidently.

At our studio, we prioritize proper technique and individualized attention—especially for new clients. Pilates equipment like the Reformer and Tower are unique and require a short orientation period to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Pilates is more than a workout—it’s a movement system that builds strength from the inside out.
Here’s what you can expect to gain from a consistent practice:

Benefits of Pilates

  • Improved Core Strength

Deep abdominal and spinal support that improves posture, balance, and overall body control.

  • Increased Flexibility & Mobility

Move more freely and reduce stiffness through controlled stretching and joint articulation.

  • Better Posture & Alignment

Strengthen underused muscles to realign your body and relieve tension.

  • Mind-Body Connection

Learn to move with awareness and control, reducing stress while improving focus.

  • Injury Prevention & Recovery Support

Low-impact movements enhance stability and muscular balance, promoting joint health and faster recovery from strain or fatigue.

  • Overall Toning & Strength

    – Develop long, lean muscles without bulk, improving endurance, definition, and overall body confidence through consistent movement.

All new clients are required to complete a minimum of two Solo Pilates sessions before joining a group class, unless you have prior experience with Pilates Reformer and equipment work from another reputable studio.

These one-on-one sessions introduce you to:

  • Proper equipment setup and safety

  • Foundational movements and breathwork

  • How to modify and personalize exercises for your body

After completing your two sessions, your instructor will guide you to the best class level for your goals and experience.
